Just to let you know that Jay became an Uncle for the first time on Tuesday at 3.19pm.
We got a phone call at 4.00am in the morning from Jay's big sister to say she was going to have her baby. Lucky Jay heard the phone, because I didn't hear my mobile ringing and vibrating twice beside my head, or Jay's mobile ringing, or the home telephone! Thank goodness Jay has good ears or we might have missed the birth!
We left Invercargill at 5.30am in the morning, you would have all been still asleep! We had to drive 700km to Greymouth on the West Coast. It was a long way!!
Jay is a very proud Uncle, and it is the first time he has ever held a baby!
We will be staying in Westport for a couple of weeks to help with the new baby - it is the first time I have ever been a Nana too!
Hope you are all having a great week at school, and Jay is stoked that he only had to go back to school for 1 day after the holidays!!
